We recently returned from an amazing week in Montana where Shylah was the flower girl at my cousin’s wedding. Nettie and Tucker’s wedding at the Daly Mansion in Hamilton, Montana was picturesque and Shylah could not have been more excited to be a part of the celebration.
Of course, for Tarah and I, this was another milestone moment.
To see Shylah standing up there with all of the bridesmaids, in her pretty dress, her hair blowing in the wind…it was very moving.
And of course, Shylah loved every minute of it.
This was such a beautiful wedding and such an honor to have our Shylah be a part of it.
Congratulations Nettie and Tucker!
This wedding also brought our family together.
This was its own blessing and the time together will be cherished forever. It was a rare and wonderful opportunity to see all of the grandkids with their great grandparents.
I have a vivid memory of being at the hospital on the phone with my grandparents and sharing with them Shylah’s diagnosis. It was a heartbreaking phone call and I get emotional recalling the moment as I type. So to have this time, this opportunity to show them how well she is doing today was in and of itself a huge blessing.
In fact, this is by far, my favorite photo of the entire trip…
I believe the confident look Shylah has in this picture with my grandparents tells the story. It is if she is telling us that she is winning and everything is going to be okay.
